Week 7 Initial Reaction

My initial reaction to this lesson was quite satisfying yet overwhelming. My presentation and assignment just happened to coincide due to the topic I selected, so that made it a little easier. But what was overwhelming was all the work that is involved in blogging, messenging, discussion boards, and finally the multimedia presentation. Even though I started a few weeks earlier with gathering my research doing each slide, and trying to pull things together, whew...I was glad when I finally turned in a somewhat completed project. All projects can always be improved. I am always finding things after I complete something that can be changed, but that goes back to the foundational courses that I took at Walden University. No project, kam, or assignment ever feels completed but when is enough research enough research, at some point you have to say enough and let it be. Thus, I always try to keep this in mind since I am a perfectionist at times. But as I grow older, I learn to overlook things and enjoy the imperfections and flaws involved in the artwork, assignments, myself, my family members, or whatever.

Yet what I enjoyed most about this assignment is not the flaws that I see after I submit the assignments but I enjoyed the discussion on one of my favorite topics. I really enjoy synchronous and online learning. I have enjoyed my academic studies at American Intercontinental University and Walden University. Online learning has become my preferred style of learning and preference.

Nia,

This class can be a bit time consuming sometimes! I do not find the majority of the work especially difficult, though I do tend to get overwhelmed on occasion. I tend to overextend myself a bit (3 jobs, 2 classes here, one somewhere else, grant writing, and taking care of my aunt)and then freak out every so often.

Take a deep breath....and relax!

Hi Nia:

I enjoy the messenging because I feel like I know my classmates now more than I ever had in any of my other classes. When ya'll post, I picture you and our most recent conversation over msn or the blog that you have written. It is really helping me to know you and the other classmates. Dianne

Dianne,

I agree I like the msn messenging too because it other classes it was hard to find anyone online at the same time unless we were all doing a group assignment and that proved to be a bit challenging. With MSN Messenging being a requirement to be on at all times, you can always find somebody to talk to.
